How do I download Windows Media Player?
To download a free version of Windows Media Player, perform the following steps:
1. From the Windows Media Player download page, under For Home, click Windows Media Player, and then select your operating system.
For this example, we selected Windows XP.
2. Click Download Now.
3. Click Download Now.
4. From the File Download - Security Warning dialog box, click Run.
5. From the Internet Explorer - Security Warning dialog box, click Run.
6. Within the Windows Media Player 11 dialog box, click Validate.
7. If you receive a screen containing instructions, perform the requested action(s), and then click Next.
8. To accept the licensing agreement, click I accept.
The installation progress screen will appear.
Once the installation has completed, Windows Media Player is installed and ready for use.
