Designed as a World Wide Web portal to Washington State, Access Washington provides interactive government services online to help meet the needs of businesses and the people of Washington.

Access Washington's site navigation is divided into high-level categories designed to help users find the information they are looking for quickly and easily. Looking for Business information? Just choose the Doing Business navigational tab and you will see an index of business information.

In the center content column, you will find nine content groupings:
- News - current state agency news releases
- Alerts - traffic, AMBER, consumer, weather and disaster alerts
- Media Center - YouTube Channel, video library, TV, radio, newspapers, public affairs TV, traffic and mountain pass cameras
- How do I - information most frequently requested by visitors to the site
- Services - online services offered by the state
- Agencies - listing of state agencies
- Governor - proclamation, website and contact information
- Community Spotlight - a Washington community will be spotlighted each
- About Washington - general information about the state of Washington
